If you’ve ever been to Las Vegas, you’ve very likely seen the creative genius of Mr. Thomas first hand. His design talent is imprinted on some of the most important properties on the Las Vegas strip, including Mirage Resort, Treasure Island, and the world-famous Bellagio Resort. He also created the interiors of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore at Wynn as well as leading the interior design of the Wynn Macau and the amazing Encore Macau which opened in April, 2010.

His many accolades include:

The Lifetime Achievement Award from the Network of Executive Women In Hospitality, 2005.
His election to the Hospitality Design Platinum Circle, 2005.
Twice listed in Architectural Digest’s AD 100, 2007 and 2010.
Named “Designer of the Year” at the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show in New York, 2008.

As Keynote Speaker of the ceremony, he shared some of his knowledge, experience and insight with IDI guests and graduates. He crowned the event with luster and style and made the day even more memorable.

Any IDI student currently enrolled in any of the schools programs is eligible to join the ASID @ IDI Student Chapter. You must apply for ASID Student membership through the ASID National web site. It is simple, and only takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

We have designed a contemporary bedroom by combining pieces from different eras and adding colors and textures that are current today. The space shows how you can mix antique pieces with newer pieces and by adding fresh colors and fun textures you can have a space that looks very current

NOAH’S ARC DESIGN CHALLENGE!
· Students have an opportunity to showcase their talents in a fun way

· Give back to the community through supporting Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC)

· Create 12×12 storefront vignettes that showcase your talents using Salvation Army furniture and accessories

· Publicity during a 5-store tour to open on April 10

· “Best Display” awarded to the winning school

All you’ll need to get started is:
· RSVP with your participation by Friday, February 19, 2010. All I need to know is that “YES, my school is in!”

· Assemble a team of max. 5 students to represent your school

· Have the team, or representative from your school, attend the mandatory orientation meeting on February 24 from 10am-11:30.
