materials for the house and complete the project by preparing a
set of portfolio presentation boards.

Assignment of a studio project in the residential field with emphasis
on traditional interiors. Students will spaceplan, specify all materials
for the house and complete the project by preparing a set of portfolio

Assignment of a studio project in the commercial field. Lectures
will be given for support information on various types of commercial
installations. Students will complete the project by preparing a
foam core model with working drawings.

Assignment of a studio project in the commercial field. Lectures
will be given for support information on various types of commercial
installations. A set of portfolio presentation boards and working
drawings will be prepared for this class.

Study of building techniques used in today's building industry.
Emphasis is placed on plumbing, electrical, heating and architect/interior
design relations. Vocabulary used in the industry will be studied.

Students will be assigned a residential remodeling situation and
solve the problem with their own remodeling solutions. Portfolio
presentation boards will be prepared.

In-depth study of color and its psychological effect on the environment.
Color systems will be studied in detail.

Students will learn one- and two-point perspective and other visual
rendering techniques.

MARKER INTERIOR RENDERING

Students will learn the newest techniques in rendering with markers.
Emphasis will be placed on three-dimensional illustrations and the
development of individual style.

ADVANCED SPACEPLANNING PROBLEMS

A series of spaceplanning projects will be assigned. Speed and accuracy
of spaceplanning are stressed. Lecture to accompany the class on
space allowance specifications.

A detailed study of the principles for management of an independent
design studio. All business procedures will be researched.

Exploration of the world of textiles, fibers and their purchase
